Markham Vale Business Park
Henry Boot Development Limited's 200 acre Markham Vale Business Park continues to go from strength to strength.
The first phase of 61 acres is currently underway and being developed into industrial, manufacturing and commercial space. The completed Waterloo Court development, comprising eight industrial / warehouse units ranging in size from 3,000 to 15,000 square feet, is now fully sold or let bar one remaining 3,000 sq ft unit.
Both national and local companies have been attracted to Markham Vale which boasts excellent transport links to the M1, benefiting from the construction of the new motorway junction 29a and the excellent links to the neighbouring towns of Chesterfield, Bolsover and Staveley. The development also features two railheads, the first of which will be opened in March 2012.
Vivienne Clements, Director, comments: "We are pleased to have attracted a whole range of occupiers from various sectors, ranging from food processing through to medical supplies and training. We have been able to offer the units on flexible terms, both freehold or leasehold, and recently launched the 'Try before you buy' scheme, which has been well received"
The first bespoke unit was completed for Industrial Ancillaries Limited who looked to expand and purchase premises to secure the future of their business and Markham Vale ticked all the boxes. Their 33,600 sq ft unit comprises both warehouse and office accommodation.
Since completion of the first bespoke unit, Markham Vale has gone from strength to strength and is now the only site on the M1 corridor constructing new units in this current market. A unit for Mobile & Separation Equipment Ltd is due to complete shortly.
Henry Boot Developments has secured a range of detailed planning consents, including one for the flagship unit, The Green Giant, a 585,000 sq ft distribution warehouse featuring the very latest in green technologies and promoting an 'Excellent BREEAM rating', an EPC rating of A, and is embodied carbon neutral.
Over the next 12 months, Phase 2 will commence with the focus looking to secure the long-term viability of the development by providing the occupiers with the ancillary services a 21st Century business park demands, including a petrol station, pub, hotel, fast-food outlet and children's nursery.
