First major distribution hub
completes on Markham Vale North


Henry Boot Developments and Derbyshire County Council are pleased to announce the completion of the first unit on Markham Vale North for major German car components manufacturer and supplier, Ferdinand Bilstein UK.  The new national distribution hub totals 212,771 sq.ft on a 14.5 acre plot and has been purchased on a freehold basis.


The unit, completed to a high specification, is bespoke to the specific operational requirements of Ferdinand Bilstein UK. Delivered on time and in budget, the programme of works involved in-depth collaboration between Henry Boot Developments, Ferdinand Bilstein UK, Derbyshire County Council and appointed contractor Bowmer & Kirkland.  Practical completion was achieved on 30 January 2017 with the distribution hub expected to become fully operational by January 2018 following an extensive fit-out.

The new facility will initially create 150 jobs with planned expansion providing a further 250 jobs in due course.

Markham Vale has 40 acres of land available which can accommodate a range of units from 15,000 sq.ft to 200,000 sq.ft.
